CRAZY HAND

CRAZY HAND explores the way we interact with our world. What is the difference between a “human touch” and an “artificial touch”? What makes a movement human? Algorithms are more and more present and change the way we apprehend the world and interact with it.
There is not a big difference between my real hand and my AI-generated hand. In some way, both are technologically shaped.

This project featured an AI-generated hand. Movements are controlled by randomness.

How does it feel to be controlled by an uniform distribution?

Looks like it is locked in an infinite loop.

A computer vision model was trained on only two pictures of my hand. The sound of the first video was created using a groove machine called Elektron Analog Rytm. It controls several parameters such as the truncation value or the interpolation between two latent vectors.
